Tree Planting on Kilkhampton Common
After succeeding in applying for trees from the Woodland Trust, and the subsequent short window of opportunity of dry weather, we have completed this short but highly important project.
With assistance from seasoned volunteer, Patrick Lavender, and a chance encounter with a couple of walkers (now volunteers) our saplings are safely planted.
As part of the Woodland Trust free trees, we also received a Royal Oak sapling. Acorns were collected from the Royal parks and germinated and we now have our very own planted out on Kilkhampton Common by our ‘royal’ new volunteers Tim & Sue Prince.
